I lost my phone

Install Dawnbook on the new phone, choose "Restore from encrypted backup", sign in, and enter your backup passphrase or your recovery code. Without backup turned on, memories exist only on the old phone.

I forgot my backup passphrase

Use your recovery code instead. If you have neither, nobody can open the backup, not even us. That is what keeps it private.

How do I take my memories with me?

In Dawnbook, open Settings and choose "Export Dawnbook". You get open files (JSON, photos, audio and video) that do not need the app.

How do I delete my account?

See Delete your account.

Something is not working

In Dawnbook, open Settings and choose "Report a problem". It shares a short report that contains no memories, names or photos.
